Dr. Muhammad Rana is a full-time academic tutor and a leading researcher at UCEM. He has previously worked with the University of Wolverhampton, the University of Salford, and Highways England on various projects in the UK related to highway maintenance, simulation modeling, and lean construction. During the last four years, Dr. Muhammad Rana has won several research funding grants totaling up to £600k from the Innovate UK, Qatar National Research Fund, British Council, Harold Samuel, Salford University, Highways England, and CIB on various topics of Sustainability, Gender Equality, Off-site Construction, Energy Efficiency, Water Management, and Environmental Resilience.
Dr Rana is currently leading 3 British Council funded Projects on Gender Equality in Brazil, Pakistan and Vietnam. He has previously delivered similar 3 projects in Jordan and Egypt sucessfully.
Prof. Ruth is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Kenyatta University Nairobi, Kenya. She is passionate on mentoring youths and young ladies in STEM. She is also a Principal Researcher in Scholar Spark Solutions a consultancy that provides valuable insights and data-driven strategies that help schools and universities enhance their teaching methods, improve student outcomes, and optimize their overall operations
She is a life member of KCS and KAFSAP.Her research interests are but not limited to: Gender and inclusivity, education, development of products for agriculture, health and quality life; climate change; environmental and chemical analysis. She is currently working on incorporating entrepreneurship activities from innovative findings she has drawn from her research experience over the years. She also gives mentorship talks to students in high schools, colleges, churches, communities and universities.
Professor Lee has an extensive academic career spanning over 25 years. After successfully completing her PhD with no corrections in 2002, she now has a Chair in Process and Performance Management in Construction. She has previously held Associate Dean roles in: Research; International; Enterprise; and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI); and Head of Department roles at the Universities of Salford and Huddersfield. She joined the institution in April 2022 to support the growth and development of research, including research degrees. She has published over 300 journal and conference publications based on her research, including 6 books, and has managed numerous externally funded research projects to successful completion.
Professor Lee is currently the External Assessor of the Department of Building Surveying, Faculty of the Built Environment, University of Malaya, Malaysia. Angela has been appointed as an Honorary Research Professor at the University of Salford since 2023.
Dr. Gabriel Mwenjeri is an accomplished agricultural economist with over 15 years of experience dedicated to building resilient food systems, promoting climate adaptation, and fostering inclusive rural development. His expertise is centered around community mobilization, gender engagements & inclusivity, and robust measurement frameworks, all geared towards achieving equitable and data-driven results. A key strength lies in his ability to effectively mobilize communities.
He has spearheaded field teams, engaging thousands of vulnerable households in food security programs, facilitated workshops on agricultural value chain management (significantly improving participant knowledge), and led community development plans in partnership with local stakeholders. His commitment to Agri-enterprise development has also enhanced food security and income generation among farmer groups. Dr. Mwenjeri is a strong advocate for gender equality and inclusivity.

PhD in Counseling Psychology from Cornerstone University, Master of Education specializing in Guidance & Counseling from the University of Montevallo, Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Southeastern Bible College, Diploma in Education. Mastery Certificate in Trauma & Recovery from Ovieto Italy. Certificate in Mental Health Assessment & Psychological First Aid, US Dept. of Health. Director, Center for Community Outreach at Karatina University. Specialist in Addiction & Rehabilitation Counseling, Certified Drug Abuse Therapist. Certified Marriage and Family Therapist, Experienced in Counseling, Consultation and Clinical Counseling Supervision.
Researched widely in Social Sciences related areas like; Alcohol & Substance Use Disorders, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychological and Behavioral Sciences, Current Chair of Kenya Guidance, Counseling & Psychological Association, Attended, Organized and Presented Papers in International Conferences, Experienced in organizing Educational and Cultural Activities in the Community among Community Health Promoters, Religious and other Community Leaders including Women & Girls trainings and mentorship programs. Published widely in Refereed Journals, Professionally Trained Teacher & Counselor.
Dr. Lekan Damilola OJO obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, City University of Hong Kong, in 2023. His Ph.D. dissertation investigated the minimization of corruption in construction projects via value management. He won the Laurence D. Miles Value Foundation (MVF) scholarship of the Society of American Value Engineers (SAVE) in 2020.
He also developed a framework for adopting value management in the Nigerian construction industry in his Master’s thesis, and the outputs are published in referred journals. To his credit, he has published over 30 refereed publications in international journals and conferences. He joined the HKIVM as a member in 2023 and has immensely assisted the institute.

Dr. Florence Abuyeka Miima

Dr. Florence Miima is a dedicated lecturer, educator, and researcher with over twenty years of impactful experience in the education sector, particularly in curriculum development, instructional design, and educational research. With a deep commitment to social justice and inclusive education, her academic journey reflects a strong emphasis on disability inclusion, gender equity, and the empowerment of marginalized communities.She has authored over twenty peer-reviewed journal articles and a book on oral literature, many of which explore critical issues around inclusivity, accessibility, and equitable access to education. Dr. Miima has supervised more than twenty postgraduate students at master’s and PhD levels, guiding research that often integrates inclusive practices and disability perspectives in education.
Beyond her academic and research work, Dr. Miima has been actively involved in community outreach, with a particular focus on working with marginalized groups and learners with disabilities. She is recognized for her expertise in gender, inclusivity, and disability rights within education. Her publications and contributions in renowned journals reflect her deep commitment to inclusive ICT integration, equitable educational technology, and policy discourse.
